Busy Few Days On OPL

Isn't this logo the greatest? Vikki made it up for the OPL Webring, which needs set up shortly. There's still so much to do with OPL before it can become the third (second?) language on Symbian OS Smartphones, but the last week has seen a lot of major steps.

Series 60 Runtime Updated to version 0.30.
Given the runtime is the code that runs on the device and acts on all the commands in your OPL Program, it's a pretty important bit of code. Menu functionallity has been added, we now pass commands through the FEP, and support for Series 60 under 7.0s (as opposed to OS 6.1) has been added. The last two big steps are dialog controls, and asynchronus events. Hopefully these will be finished by March 2024, and OPL on Series 60 can move up to a 1.0 release candidate.

OPL Wiki Commands List
The list of all the OPL Commands is now in place. All the text has been copied over by Rafe, Martin and Matt. I'm about half way through proof reading and editing them, but the hard work is done. This reference is invaluable.

Event Core
I've released my Event Core Framework for OPL. It's an application (and source code) that shows you how everything needs to work in OPL to be a responsible application, react to menu's, events, keypresses, etc.

Vexed and SameGame Updated
And, of course, I've updated my two Series 60 OPL apps. Vexed is already uploaded. I'm taking the opportunity to add in a few new features to SameGame (namely you can set three, four or five different coloured balls, each with their own high score) so expect to see that next week.
