Thursday was a special day, the windows were tinted on the car. 3 and a half hours of wandering round the villages and beach near Herne Bay and it was completed, ready for keeping out the sun as the weather turns to rain..... buggah! Well, I need to keep the windows shut for 5 days until everything cures properly, and with this weather there's little likelyhood of opening the buggers. After that there was little accomplished this week. Next week sees pay day and hopefully the completion of my front bumper and installation onto the car.
In the projects section, the car info has been updated with the latest pics. Showing off the sound system in the back, and today's minor modifications of a recarpeted parcel shelf and a nice Kenwood sticker on the rear window. Last week also saw a full sound install into Lisa's car, with a huge 2x10" sub enclosure the car is more like a giant vibrator than a mode of transport. Nearing the end of the mod all that remains is to complete the front bumper and get the windows tinted. I am still yet to get photos of the exterior with the new wheels on.
Tomorrow sees the start of a new audio install, putting a full soundsystem in my gfs car. Head, cd changer, sub, amp, 6x9s whole kit and caboodle. Will get batteries for my camera to take pics of it as well as the finished install in mine.
It's been car-week this week. Monday saw the purchase of two spiffing JBL 6x9s and a Clarion sub and amp for the boot install. After 6 hours work of dismantaling the drivers side of the car (didn't take pics of the work) it was complete and the sound system is both filling and loud.
Today was spent waiting for Kwik-fit to stick tyres on my alloys and once that was done, hunting round breakers yards to put fog lights in my new bumper which was sprayed up yesterday. Unfortunately no luck there so have to wait a week for more days off to finish the bumper.
