Since the Open Source announcement of OPL and the release of the Series 60 runtime, there has been a large upswing on interest on the OPL Developers Forum over at All About Symbian. If you've got some code questions or want to chat to other OPL authors, it's a great place to visit.

Hi,
I've been developing an appliction for the past 3 years wich is ideally suited to camera phones. Since my app is written in OPL, i want to port it onto a series 60 phone first to test usability before converting to C++ or Java. I was going to purchase the new Nokia 6600 as it is a phone I like the look of vs some of the other Nokia Series 60 phones, however I'm concerned the OPL runtime developed for series 60 will not run on the Nokia 6600 as its Symbian OS v7.0. Is my thinking correct? Or will I be able to run an .opo translated on the 9200 on the Nokia 6600?
If not, any idea when an OPL runtime will be available for the v7.0.
