Retirement Party (Part 1 & 2)

Thursday Night we started celebrations for a collegue who would be retiring on Friday. After work we headed down to our local pub for some drinks (although she is teetotal (& a vegatarian). We sat outside for a while. Then when some started complaining about the temperature (as the Sun had gone in) we moved inside. It got to about 8pm and as the live band started setting up the others moved down the road for a meal (I would have gone, but for once in my life I didn't think I could stomach an Indian meal).

On Friday we had a party which was held at the office. It started at 4pm and went on until the last few of us were there at 9:30. What was also weird I didn't have anything to drink, even though I was opening all the bottles of wine with my Barramundi waiter's friend (bottle opener that waiter use). They had a normal corkscrew but the screw on it was too narrow and unded up destroying more corks that it removed. For music we had the The Best Dean Martin And Friends Album In The World... Ever!. Was a shame that ended early and that the guest of Honour (you remember was retiring) left early, but I guess we had all been up since early in the morning and working since about 8-8:30am. But even if short was a great night and took lots of photos.

Have just check on my wine and is still bubbling nicely. Some time early next week I should be able to start next stage and if it is tomorrow (adding final ingredients) I should have wine by Wednesday (Wine in 7 Days).

Well what a shock! Big Brother had changed the Reward Room (as it's seems to be called now). Was Red last week with a Club theme and this week was Blue with a Games theme including a cool Plasma screen video game arcade grab machine and board games like Buckeroo!
