Off We Go, Into The Wild Blue Yonder

Here we go, off to O'Reilly's Emerging Technology again. Slightly different mindset this time as (a) I'm not speaking this time and (b) the OPL Book's print run means I can’t sneak a few Wiley books into an O'Reilly event. Shame really. But the value of the people I can meet, be around and talk to is worth the ten days away from Vikki, Mairi and Eilidh. That's going to be hard. Last year Vikki was pregnant with Mairi, but in London. This time around, she's got family around her now we're back living in Edinburgh, but another daughter to handle. So I guess it balances out.

Must remember to bring back something nice that's not chocolate.

But back to the Etech travelling. There's an extra leg this year, with an Edinburgh - London leg to take account as well. Easyjet there, with a £12 return ticket bought in January. That was last night's flight, so after a few drinks off Oxford Street, it was onto Heathrow to catch the American Airlines transatlantic 777 to Chicago to catch my connection.

Other trips I've always promised to do lots of blog updates. I'm not going to do that this year, because I always end up stopping after about 4 days, with 3 days still to go. So what I'd suggest is watch the moblog in the top right corner, and click through to see the pictures as the trip unfolds.

Later, dudes!
