Round San Diego With A Fridge
Oh boy. I'm sitting at work reading Tony Hawk's "Beating The Moldovans at Tennis," where he makes a strange bet that he can beat the Moldovan National Football Team at Tennis (individually), and one of the Engineers mentions that "you were looking for somoething to do in San Diego, what should we bet that you can't do?"
The suggestions (some of which I'm never posting here, some will go up later) are pretty good. But to give me some chance, I'm only going to choose one of them. I'm also going to open it up to anyone reading this Diary. Think of something that I should do in San Diego, the crazier the better. I'll choose at least one, and see just how good my skills from Rag and Student Fundraising still are...

Here are my suggestions:
1) Catch the trolley to the Mexican border and get yourself mobi-blogged with a border guard. You have to be wearing a kilt
2) Open Day 2 of ETCon by singing "Scotland the Brave" before the Keynote
3) Hold a participant session at ETCon about "Using social software to levearage the hagis hunting community"
Matt's suggestion #1 sounds like a recipe for getting nicked :)
I'd love to see you build a life size cardboard cutout of jonny wilkinson and introduce it to everyone you meet as your wife. Attempt to solicit kudos and presents for your sweetheart jonny.
Ignore *ANY* mention of Wilk*****. Singing 'Scotland The Brave' might be quite an effort, so go with 'Flower of Scotland'. I sponsor you two haggis (uncooked) and one glass bottle of 'Bru.
Hmmm... what would I like you do do in San Diego? Sit quietly in a corner and not draw attention to yourself? Calmly meet and greet and do your presentation like a normal person? Eat what you're given without making a fuss or disparaging comments?
Nah, there's no way you could manage any of those things :P
Just make sure you bring me back something nice this time... you are away over Valentines Day after all (and by something nice I don't mean a DVD, though I want those too. Something romantic, even if you have to get help finding something (but not perfume) and American chocolate is horrible so not that either! I'm not making it very easy for you am I...)
