Eilidh's Visit to the Health Visitors

Took Eilidh to be weighed yestderday, four weeks after the last time. I wasn't expecting much, after gaining 1lb 5oz then, and 1lb 5oz in the three weeks before that, but I was pleasantly surprised! The little gannet has gained 1lb 9oz in the last four weeks!

I also asked the health visitor about Eilidh's eyes as she often squints, so she's putting in a referral for her with the orthoptist. Who knows when I'll hear back about that!

Other than that she's doing fine, never sits still for a minute. She loves unpacking things, mainly the bin, though her toy box is another favourite, as is tearing the pages out of an old Argos catalogue. Falling over also seems to be a favourite activity! Her balance is getting better though, and she can stand unsupported for a few seconds now, but usually gets over-excited and tries to bounce and ends up sitting down. She can walk and run only holding one of my hands though, so she does have some balance.

Things are also stirring on top of her head, and it looks like she might actually have some hair by the time she's one. She's going to be very fair, but possibly with a bit of a gingery tint. And her eyes are still the same colour as mine, and attract comments whenever we're out!

Anyway, I'd better stop there before this turns into an essay! Final thing, a few people have been asking me about her birthday - I'm going to put together a list of the things she has already and a list of the things that we'd like her to have.
